Malmsbury is home to a thriving community of artists, musicians, and craftspeople, and the Malmsbury Bakery is at the heart of all the action.

We locals enjoy a shindig or two, and there’s usually something interesting happening around town. We’re an affable lot so you’re always invited to be part of the festivities.

The Malmsbury Town Hall has been entertaining residents since 1868. Take in a show, find a treasure at our regular antique fairs or enjoy a community event. There’s often special music events and art workshops in the Tin Shed Arts Gallery next door.

Every year in November we celebrate local produce, craft, and culture beside the lake in the Botanic Gardens at the Malmsbury Village Fair.

It’s the perfect setting to enjoy a loaf of our award-winning bread topped with other picnic sundries purchased from the myriad of stalls nestled under a canopy of established trees. Then simply sit back and relax with friends and family on the island while soaking up some local music.

If the weather’s fine, on Sunday there’s a local market opposite the Malmsbury Town Hall to fossick through. Or peruse gracious antiques from a bygone era.

Pick up a copy of our local newsletter, The Malmsbury Mail, at the General Store to find out about events coming up in the region. Or just waylay a friendly local and get the skinny on what’s happening where and when.
